Hi a friend of mine Brian Mead and his wife highly recommend ya'll so we'll be seeing ya'll soon! I am originally from Louisiana and a foodie as well as my SoCal wife (who loves Cajun cooking!) and we are moving to Douglasville soon! Came here to georgia from NOLA so I know good food, and will be bringing my dad and mom over to test it out as well when they are in town! It'll be great to have a dixie beer and a good roast beef po-boy!

I am originally from Columbia, LA and went to high school with Robert. My family first ate at Gumbeaux's 5 years ago when we were passing through Douglasville headed home from SC. In 2005 my husband and I included Gumbeaux's in our dinner plans each night of our trip to the Peach Bowl. Since then we have included "Dinner at Gumbeaux's" as our final stop before heading home from our family vacations on the east coast. Last year it was our final stop after 5,000 miles and 26 states and Canada. This year it is our final stop after a youth mission trip to Manassas, VA, DC and the Outter Banks of NC. Gumbeaux's is ALWAYS anticipated. We have ALWAYS received excellent service, incredible food and great memories. ...and our daughter loves to look at the old CPH baseball and sr pics...

My family sooooo misses the location you had in Newnan! I had just gotten a bunch of family to go and enjoy real Cajun food like we make!! It was nice to have authentic food and not have to do the cooking ourselves!! Hope to get to the Douglasville location real, real soon!!! Thanks and lassiez les bon temps roulez!!!!

I was in Douglasville last week on business and my client brought me to your cafe for dinner. All I can say is, WOW!!! I had the most truely enjoyable dining experience ever! The food was off the chart, on a scale of 1-10 we need a bigger scale, and fifty cent oysters put me over the edge. After working in the gulfshores area for over a year I can say with all certainty your food is 100% authentic and better than most. Chris was our server and he did a GREAT job. I wish the best of luck and I cannot wait to visit with y'all again!

I've been in Georgia since 1989 after living in Mississippi and Louisiana all my life. I've gotta say, Gumbeaux's is the ONLY place outside Louisiana where you can get real Cajun food... hot enough to have smoke coming out of your ears... I love it, love it, love it. My first five years here, before you opened, were sad, sad, sad...
