Moved here in '88, reside in Kennesaw now. Heard a lot of hoorah about your place and since I've not been back home since after Katrina, I said it was time to check it out. When Theresa came to take our drink order, I showed her my LA drivers license (yes, I still have it to this day) and told her to "impress me".  This you did, Cher, and very well I might add. NOW I can "go home" without going home. Thumbs up to you!

I used to come to Gumbeaux's petty much every day during the week, stopped when we closed down the office I was in. Now I come in once in a while. Last weekend (10/17/09) took my mom here for the first time, before we went to see a movie. I'd always raved about how wonderful it was, and so I decided to prove to her that it was wonderful. I ordered the New Orleans Burger, she just a crock of shrimp etoufee and black beans and rice. She loved every mouthful of it. Had just the right amount of spice, wasn't too spicy, wasn't too bland. The burger was the best one I had ever had. When our server brought us the check, I asked who was cooking. She said it was Robert, and I told my mom that was why it was so good. We were lucky to be there on a day Robert was cooking, even though Doug and the others are just as good. The next day my mom told me she had a dream that dealt with part of what we did that day. I thought maybe she had a nightmare since we had seen a horror movie, or else dreamed about tires, since we went to get mine changed. She said no, that she dreamed she was in N'Awlin's. Now THAT'S authentic Cajun cookin'!

What a great place to eat and worth the drive for us. Our waiter, cant remember his name, a big guy was fantastic and the food awesome. We will keep coming back. Keep up the good work and great food.

Teresa was our server on 10/14/09 and we had the best service EVER! I will return and request her for sure!!! Thank you for a wonderful meal! I had the steak.

We had a great meal on 10/14/09. Extra good service was provided by Teresa. I always get the same thing on every visit because it's so good but last night I decided to try something new. I had the low country boil special. It was excellant!

WOW! That says it all, my sister-in-law is from New Orleans and she swears by you guys that it's the next best thing!!! And she's right. I was there with my family on 9/25/09 and was upset that you all were closed on Sunday 9/27/09. I will be back down on 10/23/09 and will make sure to visit and get enough to take back home to Michigan.... Love the Place.... Keep up the good cookin!!~!!!!

Date night with my wife has never been better. Our Mary, Waitress/ Bartender, was outstanding. The Manager, Midge Anderson, went out of her way to make my wife and I feel at home. The food was outstanding! My wife and I are definetly fans.
